SPEAKER: Frédérique Aït-Touati, CNRS, EHESS, Sciences Po (Paris)

In her talk, Aît-Touati will continue her explorations of potential cartographies begun in Terra Forma.

About the Speaker

Frédérique Aït-Touati is a stage director and science historian. She explores the links between science, literature and politics and develops experimental theater with her company Zone Critique. Her work has been performed at the Nanterre-Amandiers Theatre, the Théâtre de Odéon and La Criée in Marseille, as well as in New York, Berlin, Lisbon and Barcelona. A researcher at the CNRS, she teaches at EHESS and directs SPEAP, a program in experimental political arts at Science Po. She published Contes de la Lune (Gallimard, 2011), an essay on fiction and modern science, and Terra Forma (2019), a manual of potential cartographies. From 2014 to 2021, she was in residence at the Nanterre-Amandiers Theatre, where she created Le Théâtre des Négociations, followed by the Trilogie Terrestre, in association with Bruno Latour and his company. She is currently in residence at the National Theatre of Chaillot with SPEAP and her company.
